I was reading an article in the New York Times yesterday that asked the following question.
"What do you believe is true even though you cannot prove it?"
I thought it was timely based on the interesting discussion on New Year's.
...yes, I do have a subscription to the NY Times. I haven't worked my way up (or down) to the Wall Street Journal yet.
God is too easy. I saw some great ideas from the scientists they interviewed. If you want to read the article, it's here: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/04/science/04edgehed.html
email me if you want to "borrow" my login.
and at www.edge.org who asked the questions.

I beleive, but cannot prove that souls run in packs. People that you meet that you immediately like or dislike, it's because you've met them before. We keep gathering around them same souls again and again.
